Parkour Dogs Being Clever

Build new skills, confidence, control, fitness and more.

Dogs get introduced to the world of jumping, climbing, balancing over, crawling under, and going around different obstacles in their everyday world.” International Dog Parkour Association

The Parkour Dog

Wants a hobby he can do anywhere, any time, that isn’t as fast and furious as competition-style agility, but is still interesting and provides him with new skills.

He’s healthy, but he doesn’t need to be super-fit. Parkour doesn’t have to be high-impact.

He can be any age/breed, even rather elderly dogs or little puppies can start on Parkour that is tailored to their needs, for example by using low-height obstacles.

He doesn’t need to be super-obedient, but he does need to be non-aggressive to other dogs and people.

The Parkour Owner

Doesn’t need to be super fit either!

Does need to buy their dog a proper parkour harness (details available on request).

Needs to be committed to kind, reward-based training and to the dog’s physical and mental well-being.

Wants to learn about the newest dog activity on the block.

“Parkour involves seeing one’s environment in a new way, and imagining the potential for navigating it by movement around, across, through, over and under its features.”  Wikipedia
